Hey! Welcome to my site. I am a guy in his twenties struggling to get his PhD in Japanese Religion and Intellectual History. The creation of this site stems from two main concerns I have been having lately. First, is that I really feel, and I believe that this is not just nostalgia, that the internet was much cooler before, when it felt like a treasure trove and every site was beautiful in its own way, and you could somehow feel that things were made with love. I refuse to believe that all that it is left now is just SNSs. I am new to the neocities community, but I can really feel so much of what I liked of internet in the few sites I have checked. Second, is my personal goal of obtaining my PhD and someday becoming a scholar. As you may have noticed, my writing skills are not particularly good. May this site serve to make me write more, and hopefully improve something in the whole process. Generative AI may be useful for refining my texts, and it is much more so specially for someone like me, whose English and Japanese is not a mother tongue. However, I do believe there is something to be learnt in producing your own texts from scratch, and I do believe that if we rely on Generative AI for that as well, we are losing something very important. So that's it! Now that you know me better, here's a list of the sort of things that you may be expect in this site based on my personal interests.
